thats whats on the cover, i am not being insensetive to little people, lowell record is very hard to listen to, i would imagine that this is what you would listen to in hell ironic no?on top of all that his back up band the crusaders dont even play thier instruments, they provide backing vocals, hell i was hoping for some wild saxamaphone blowing by that chick in the picture..but noooo dont upstage the boooming voice of lowell mason, i imagine the recording session, was one of hard drinking and womanizing by lowell...yea right, this is where i would say ..enjoy!!!!but i know you wont...jonah and the whale is ok, in a funny way not a good way

well kids it's been to long almost a year, but i am back so for ya i have 22 juvenile delinquent tunes for ya, some really stand out "chickie run" has a little extra for ya jerry lewis and dean martin out takes of them swearing thier mouths off, besides that chickie run sounds like the singer is a male ethel merman, red river dave sings "california hippie murders" a yodeling anti hippie manson country tune for ya,, and of course we have mr."sea of love" phil philips narating the "evil dope" a nice psa very funny, along with songs of hoodlums rumbles and general debauchery enjoy,i will post the link for download, click on the link...click on a song ...download...

i hate the word dj...it makes everything sound so unimportant, but for the first time i will "dj" outsider and weird music, i dont think people are ready for it in toronto , but who cares...i am doing it for free, and for fun, i am tired of going to bars and other dj nights, where the music is a bland white wash of what is currently popular with the scenester crowd..i felt it was time to fight the humdrum "look at me i'm coool" crowd with heino..little marcie..little markie...crispin glover...maybe i really am an evil pain clown...i remember when in my other persona of "john and jennys rock and roll party" i had old friends of mine say"they never went to our shows because we played music they didnt know"...call me crazy...but i always thought you go to a dj night to expand your horizons, at least i did. if someonr else was to have a show like this..i would be there with bells on..and loving every minute of it....we shall see sunday..how everything turns out, hell boyd rice had an outsider music night many moons ago that was a crazy success, but i shall quote from a guy whos name i forget..."toronto is a backwater for music" soooo true, any way i havent uploaded any vinyl in awhile so i will now check my hard drive for stuff to listen to all for you., some good stuff coming your way....i strongly suggest you download "learn that parrot to talk" from the "big itch" compilations...find them and buy them great stuff on those comps...i also have henri salvador,also known as henri cording, the later was a pseudonym, he was taken the piss out of rock and roll. from the president label re-issue 10 inch,also i have a 78 recording of jim backus that i found at a flea market several years ago, "i need a vacation" and german cowboy music, ghost riders in the sky from one of my 2 german cowboy records enjoy!!!

william s burroughs..break through in grey room

here are a collection of "tape cutups", and moroccan joujouka panic music recorded by burroughs through the late 50's to early 70's, also junky relations where burroughs explains the relationships of junkies{obviously}this is truley a work of sound art, ken nordine has the sound museum...william s burroughs hs the sound gallery,the cut ups are basically, sound loops, excerpts, and tape"scratching"{like the kids do with records}, curse go back,second last track or track 3 side 2, is an "incantation where buroughs sends back a spell on a background of distorted joujouka music"...great stuff, sound piece is an experiment in tape cut ups wit the reel being spun manually back and forth producing the "scratching effect" should be track 12...or track 9 on side 2 on the record..i cant believe that this record wasnt bought by someone else, it is a contempoary release 2001 on the subrosa label and a limited edition of 800 copies, i found it with the childrens records, all by itself, like a scorned child, no other records around it on the shelf, since i bought it at a rather large record cd store in the artsy part of town i thought for sure it would have been bought by someone else, yet it stayed on the shelf ove a week...even during boxing day...i must go back to that store...

yep my wife had to show me...here are some of my favorite haunts on this interweb...oops a little presidential humor there.........anyhoo, DR.FORRESTS CHEEZE FACTORY, is an amazing source for weird oddball music, a must to bookmark!!! i found an audio book blog which i also visit regularly..great site!!! also two links in the INTERNET ARCHIVES...AUDIO BOOKS...AND OLD TIME RADIO....my fave site!!!, there is nothing like kickin back with a coffee in your favorite chair, and listening to dragnet!!...or a story from hp lovecraft, or poe , or saki, or kafka....also a link for mystery old time radio..over 1300 free cbs mystery theater, episodes the series ran from the mid 70's till the early 80's ...great on a sunday afternoon...i actually donated 9 bucks, and became a club member with access to hard to find radio shows..best 9 bucks i ever spent!!

this is the best 54 cents i ever spent, now for those who dont know rockabilly is my first music,i eat sleep drink this lifestyle, now this album here is a great hillbilly record on the arc international label{canadian}, i was already familiar with the maddox brothers and thier sis rose, so i bought the record for 54 cents,this album is true crazy hillbilly music reaaaaaal stompin' stuff, some good bass slapping too! like on "molly darlin", the record has whistles and hootin' and hollerin' throughout every tune..move it on over, and honky tonkin two hank william numbers here but honky tonkin' really stands out as rose gravelly sings "honky tonkin" too her brother whistling{like if yer calling a dog}while she sings!!every song here is a barn burner, my faves are "bring it on down to my house honey" "molly darlin"{goood bass slappin here}"sugar pie" small town mama...i guess every song!!! just listen..and download!!!

heres a record i picked up in edmonton this month, at a goodwill, it's kind of like a dirty version of laugh it up with ray and rick...now it's not really really dirty, more double entendres then anything, and some great oneliners, there are three brothers but two of them do all the talking, of course one is the straight man, while the other is the brother from hell...really really funny, now since this albums is from the early sixties, the comedy is topical for the time, there are some moments of "political incorrectness", and lots of "commie" talk but all in all a pretty funny disk...enjoy!

now i also put working conditions in this post, stompin tom, "singing the bridge came tumbling down" a true story of a bridge collapse in vancouver in 1958, where 19 men lost thier lives, very powerful stuff...then grandpa jones with grandma, singing the best version ever of dark as a dungeon{great mandolin solo} and great harmonies , the songs about the plight of a mine worker...stompin tom once again with more worker plight in tilsonburg, actually a funny little ditty, about working shitty!!

i was a contributor on the 365 day project, to which i will put up the records i posted there...now otis fodder did a fantastic job, and the other contributors were amazing, with their odd records and musical oddities, i posted the Portsmouth sinfonia, and the legendary stardust cowboy. the Portsmouth sinfonia record was never posted{the music} because the label said they would re release it one day...well its been 27 years, so th MAN says i cant post it....screw you fight the power!! all songs from the Portsmouth sinfonia are in THE PUBLIC DOMAIN...EVERYONE NEEDS TO HEAR THIS!now from my 45 collection come two of the oddest 45's i have, the legendary stardust cowboy belts out his two songs "paralysed" and who's knockin' at my door, and the PORTSMOUTH SINFONIA performs a "hooked on classics" type of medley, which the call a "classical muddly", and the hallelujah chorus from Mendelssohn's messiah.....you really have to listen to this, it is so awful it's good!!

in my years of record collecting, you sometimes come across a artist, sometimes a popular artist, and you wonder WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!! that happened to me with one of my favorite country artists johnny horton, i remember sitting back, and my mom was blareing her johhny horton record...the song all grown up came on, i was kind of shocked...it was like a pedophile fathers national anthem!!! then i bought ivor biggen, a british musical comedian, his songs were dirty...but ohh ohh ohh was beyond that...i was surprised at what my sensitive ears were hearing, then gene maltais, rockabilly cat with his tune little girl...which john and jackie coverd{las vegas grind series}, i guess we live in not so innocent times...but johnny horton c'mon! even in the 50's people were wondering what the fuck that song was about!!!i also have jailbait by andre williams..self explanitory....now is it just me or are you freaked out about that johnny horton song, i would love to hear your opinions on this...also i borrowed a record from otis fodder , called lena zavaroni, it's from 1974 i guess was some sort of 10 year old singing prodigy, who has faded away into obscurity...now please fer gods sake...if your gonna release children singing songs, please be careful!! ma, he's making eyes at me! jeeze louise something wrong here

well heee haw! pass that there nose powder, just joking folks here is a little thing i call sex drugs and bluegrass, here we have the greenbriar boys with take a whiff on me! a nice ditty warning against cocaine use also ragged but right, a tounge and cheek song about"folk stars"" a rootin tootin dope feind! also on the sex side of things we have oscar brand, {famous for this land is our land}, he was canadian, but moved to the states awhile ago,he put out some good folk albums and apparently childrens records...but at least to me he is more famous for his bawdy songs albums, he made quite a few of them...from dirty sea shanties to naughty cowboy songs, i've put three of my favorite one up here...i used to work in chicago. black eyed suzie and cindy, well enjoy listen now and listen often

i am sick...i've had 4 hours sleep in the last three days, my wife is still in yellowknife, and my christmas was not merry...but alas i shall put another record up here for ya 23 skidooo!!!oh yea this record was for the fur coat wearing collage boy with the straw boater...everything you want in a 20's flapper jazz record, the six jumping jacks, with constantinople, and etiquette blues...this is like a comfort songs..you have comfort food, food that reminds you of home your moms kitchen...well these trax are comfort tracks...reminds me of my papa{grandfather}he gave my dad the old victrola, and as a child i listend to all the old 78's, i guess papa got me into record collecting..i miss him, but this record is my comfort songs enjoy

i got some real barn burners here, frankie ford with sea cruise, but the b side roberta should be the a side a reaal rocker! then theres bill sherrell with your the beat within my heart , but dont you rock me daddy-o is another barn burner, next is portuguese joe , famous for his teenage riot song, here is joe banging out the keys to portuguese boogie, and the"politically incorrect" miss ping pong, now miss ping pong reminds me alot of teenage riot...the whole song seems "out of time" when you hear it youll know
